ESD Facility Certification
The ESD Association Facility Certification Program evaluates a facility's ESD program based on industry standard ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007 or IEC 61340-5-1.
The Audit
The ESD certification audit focuses on all the key elements of a good ESD program:
▲ Documentation ▲ESD Control Element Selection & Function
▲Training ▲Purchasing (ESD-related contracts)
▲Calibration ▲Non-conforming product, and documentation control
Typically, audits take up to two days. The ESD Association's certification program is based on one facility or several buildings in nearby proximity that are a part of the same line of business with a common management. Multiple locations require additional audits. Facilities must undergo the complete audit annually to be recertified.
Certification Bodies
The audit is conducted by an ESD Association certified certification body. Each employes staff that have been trained and certified by the ESD Association. A list of certification bodies is maintained at www.esda.org/s2020registrars.html. The ESD Association will continue to add new certification bodies as they are certified.
If your company's certification body is not certified with the ESD Association, please have them contact the Association for materials and information about becoming certified.
International Certification
certification bodies cover Asia, Europe, and North and South America. |
