EOS/ESD Association Inc. Launches and Hosts a 3-Day Class/Exam for ESD Compliance Verification Technician Certification to TR53

ROME, NY – EOS/ESD Association, Inc. is pleased to announce a live training for the ESD Compliance Verification Technical Certification to the TR53 Program in Rome, NY.
The training will take place on November 2nd through 4th, 2022 with instruction on the first two days and an exam on the last day. Matt Jane from Tesla and John Kinnear from IBM are the instructors.
EOS/ESD Association, Inc. established the ESD Compliance Verification Technical Certification is based on the ESDA’s technical report, ESD-TR53 Compliance Verification of ESD Protective Equipment and Materials. This important technical report supports and maintains static control programs designed around the ANSI/ESD S20.20 standard for the development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for the protection of electrical and electronic parts, assemblies, and equipment as well as the European technically equivalent standard IEC 61340-5-1.
Executive Director, Lisa Pimpinella of the EOS/ESD Association, Inc. said, “We are a 40-year-old local organization with our headquarters in Rome, NY. Much of our customer base has grown to the national and global levels. While we are working with local organizations, we would like to increase our awareness to the local community which is expanding its technology base.” The EOS/ESD Association, Inc. is a 501’C’3 non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of electrostatic discharge (ESD) avoidance. Controlling ESD is prudent and strategic for companies seeking to gain competitive advantage in major markets. Lisa Pimpinella also said that they would provide this certification to local companies (i.e. Central New York and the Mohawk Valley) at a group rate/discount.
EOS/ESD Association, Inc. was founded in Rome, NY in 1982, has grown to over 1400 members and volunteers, and 30+ countries, including the U.S. and Canada. Initially focusing on ESD on electronic components, the Association has expanded its reach to include areas such as textiles, plastics, microchips, web processing, cleanrooms, explosives, and graphic arts. Due to a continually changing environment, the association is chartered to expand ESD awareness through standards, development, education programs, local chapters, publications, tutorials, certifications, and symposia. It is the only organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to write and produce standards on electrostatics.
