ROME, NY –EOS/ESD Association, Inc. (ESDA) presented a check for $2,500 to the Philip S. McDonald Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (Rome, NY)
EOS ESD Association, Inc. contributes to the PBA each year and in turn the PBA is able to give back to many charitable events. This generous donation will assist in plans to provide funding for the Rome Police Department Kops 4 Kids program, Kennedy Arena sponsorship, Integrated Community Alternatives Network (ICAN) donation and help the PBA to provide a Criminal Justice Scholastic Scholarship program with BOCES later this year,’ as recognized on the Rome PBA Facebook page.
Lisa Pimpinella, Executive Director for the ESDA, said, “The EOS/ESD Association, Inc. Board of Directors continues to support the local community and region annually in various ways. As we enter 2023, we want to assist the Rome Police Department and PBA, who make a difference in the lives they touch and make this community a better place. We see the impact and result of the community engagement and want to be a part of that great work.”
The EOS/ESD Association, Inc. is a 501’C’3 non-profit organization and is dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of electrostatic discharge (ESD) avoidance.
The EOS/ESD Association, Inc. was founded in Rome, NY in 1982, has grown to nearly 16,000 members and volunteers, and 55+ participating countries, including the U.S. and Canada. Initially focusing on ESD on electronic components, the Association has expanded its reach to include areas such as textiles, plastics, web processing, cleanrooms, and graphic arts. Due to a continually changing environment, the association is chartered to expand ESD awareness through standards, development, education programs, local chapters, publications, tutorials, certification, and symposia. It is the only organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to write and produce standards on electrostatics.
