Look for this button at www.esda.org In February of this year, during the ESDA meeting series in Sparks, NV, the ESDA launched a new two-day seminar, Essen- tials for ESD Programs - Factory: Tech- nologies • Controls • Procedures The seminar is a concentration of key concepts and information from the ESD Certified Professional Program Manager Curriculum. It offers broad exposure to the essentials of ESD programs. The seminar includes a comprehensive set of factory technologies and procedures designed for managers, technicians, and specialists desiring ESD control program training and information. The launch of this new seminar drew at- tendees from companies all across the United States. Companies represented were: Achilles USA, Inc., Anritsu, Appareo Systems, ATK Launch Systems, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, NVIDIA, Poly One Corporation, Rockwell Collins, and Virginia Diodes, Inc. “It’s been just over a month since I took the course, and I’m still finding all sorts of applications for the stuff we learned there. I got plenty of good information out of that two day course”, said Steven A. Retzloff a RF Test Engineer from Virginia Diodes, Inc. At the close of the seminar many of the attendees had very positive comments to make about the experience: Sessions were very informative and gave the foundational information required to understand the ESD concerns that followed. Excellent presentation & demonstrations; the demos and interactions with the audience were great. Visual aids were very helpful. The instructors were very knowledgeable and delivered the information effectively. This course can also serve as a refresher class to those taking the Program Manag- er Certification exam. It does not meet the course requirements for certification. In ad- dition, the course is endorsed by iNARTE and can be used as preparation for those interested in taking the iNARTE Engineer- ing or Technician Certification exam. We will offer this two day seminar again on June 16-17 in Chicago, IL. In addition we are offering Electrostatic Calculations for the Program Manager on June 18th, fol- lowed by both the ESD Certified Program Manager exam and the certified iNARTE exam on June 19.
