ESD Control Plan Bundle with IEC Documents

The documents included in the bundle are ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021, ESD TR20.20-2016, IEC 61340-5-1, and IEC TR 61340-5-2.

ANSI/ESD S20.20

ESD Association Standard for the Development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for Protection of Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment (Excluding Electrically Initiated Explosive Devices)

This standard provides administrative and technical requirements for establishing, implementing and maintaining an ESD Control Program.

ESD TR20.20

ESD Association Technical Report – Handbook for the Development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for the Protection of Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment

Provides guidance that can be used for developing, implementing, and monitoring an electrostatic discharge control program in accordance with ANSI/ESD S20.20. This handbook applies to activities that include manufacturing, processing, assembling, installing, packaging, labeling, servicing, testing, inspecting, or otherwise handling electrical or electronic parts, assemblies, and equipment susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharges greater than or equal to 100 volts human body model (HBM), 200 volts charged device model (CDM), and exposure to charged isolated conductors.

IEC 61340-5-1

IEC 61340-5-1 is technically equivalent to ANSI/ESD S20.20.

Electrostatics - Part 5-1: Protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena - General requirements

Applies to activities that: manufacture, process, assemble, install, package, label, service, test, inspect, transport or otherwise handle electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment with withstand voltages greater than or equal to 100 V HBM, 200 V CDM and 35 V for isolated conductors.

IEC TR 61340-5-2

IEC TR 61340-5-2 is technically equivalent to ESD TR20.20.

Electrostatics - Part 5-2: Protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena - User guide

Supports IEC 61340-5-1, applies to activities that: manufacture, process, assemble, install, package, label, service, test, inspect, transport or otherwise handle electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment with withstand voltages greater than or equal to 100 V HBM, 200 V CDM and 35 V for isolated conductors.
