The WG focused on the five-year review of ANSI/ESD STM97.2 “Footwear/Flooring System – Voltage Measurement in Combination with a Person”. Drawings will be updated and sent out to the WG for review before sending the document to TAS. The WG then completed the review of the comments from TAS on ANSI/ESD STM97.1 “Footwear/Flooring System – Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person.” The WG needs to update the responses to TAS and ensure that the document is updated before submitting for STDCOM vote. The footwear section for TR20.20 was reviewed. This will be sent to the WG for a final review before sending it to the ESD TR20.20 writing team.
-
The committee reviewed final updates to ANSI/ESD STM97.1 during the five-year review cycle. The document will be sent to TAS before the September meeting series. The WG also started the five-year review of ANSI/ESD STM97.2.
-
The group started adjudicating the TAS comments on ESD WIP97.1 - Footwear / Flooring – Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person.
-
WG focused on the review of STM97.2 “Footwear/Flooring System – Voltage Measurement in Combination with a Person” as it is up for its 5-year review.
Approximately 50% of the document was reviewed during the meeting, the remainder will be reviewed during conference calls or the next face to face meeting series.
-
The WG focused on the comments received from TAS on ESD WIP97.1, “Footwear/Flooring System – Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person.” Some drawings need to be updated and forwarded to TAS for further review.
-
The WG focused on the comments received from TAS on their review of WIP97.1“Footwear/Flooring System – Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person.” Additional work will be done within virtual meetings to complete the TAS comment review.
-
The WG focused on TAS comments received for ESD WIP97.1 - “Footwear/Flooring System – Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person”. A good discussion was held on IEC vs. ESDA equipment. Also, the capacitance of cables and on the test equipment. A small task test will be investigate if there is an impact on the capacitance of cables of varying lengths. There was also a discussion on graphs within the document and whether a “Shall” or a “Should” should be used in these instances.
-
The WG discussed the technical and general comments from STDCOM on ANSI/ESD STM97.1. The WG discussed the TAS comments on ANSI/ESD STM97.2.
-
The working group continued working and addressing technical and general STDCOM (Standard Committee) comments. This suggests ongoing efforts to refine and improve the document based on feedback and discussions within the group. Discussion took place regarding the appropriate number of test points for newly installed flooring. This likely involves determining the optimal testing strategy to ensure the effectiveness of the flooring in preventing electrostatic discharge (ESD) incidents. There is a plan to add new verification and calibration procedures to the document. After incorporating these updates, the document will be circulated among working group members for review. This indicates a commitment to ensuring accuracy and reliability through verification and calibration processes.
-
The working group (WG) prioritized ESD WIP97.1, incorporating updates from STDCOM comments. Edits and new sections will prompt a WG, TAS, and STDCOM review. Further feedback gathered within the WG will be integrated into ESD WIP97.1 before undergoing another round of WG review.
